BIO

Jo, owner of Glazy Days, started working with recycled 'Float' glass in 2010 having spent a great deal of time learning from some very talented local artists.  Following a number of additional courses she progressed to 'Bullseye' glass which is generally a brighter medium to work with.  Continuously experimenting and exploring different techniques Jo has developed some beautiful designs including some her most recent artwork which contain extraordinary bubbles.

Jo considers herself lucky to live in Trevone on the North Cornwall Coast, a spectacular spot which includes not only a wonderful sandy beach but also what locals refer to as Rocky Beach and a rather large blow hole up on the cliff.  There is certainly a lot to be inspired by and she makes the most of this inspiration.  The sea influences her choice of colours and the continual movement can be seen in the fluidity of the glass designs.  Experimentation with layering this coloured glass has lead to the successful range of Wave dishes, Sea and Sand Suncatchers and Wall Art.

Recycling local environmentally friendly products is at the core of the business. 'I gather as much as I can locally for example I use recycled glass for the Christmas trees and the 3D effect on some of my wall art' Jo explained 'I want to make as little impact as possible whilst creating the best visual effects.

In 2015 Glazy Days launched Jo's range of dichroic jewellery which has quickly become some of their best selling products.  The vibrant exotic colours come straight from the rock pools of Rocky Beach and have an otherworldly appeal and an even more appealing price tag.
